Date:May 14, 2009Family Mosaic have launched their new scheme at Fauners in Basildon town centre. As well as including properties for affordable rent the scheme
includes homes for rent to homebuy, part by part rent and discounted rent.
The scheme has been developed in partnership with Basildon District Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.
The introduction of rent to homebuy is an innovative solution for people who want to buy their own home but due to mortgage companies
requirements for a large deposit are unable to get on the ladder.
The scheme enables people to rent the property for a reduced rent for a fixed two years. If at the end of this period the resident wishes to purchase
a share in the property, Family Mosaic will put 75% of the rent paid towards the purchase. So while renting, a deposit is built up.
