The Junction
Date:May 14, 2009Handed over in December 2008, the Junction in Ambleside Drive, is another of Essex based Chelmer Housing Partnership’s (CHP) new developments
and their first affordable housing scheme in Southend.
The scheme offers a mix of twenty two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments for social rent, New Build HomeBuy and intermediate market
rent. With funding of £652,000 from the Homes and Communities Agency, the scheme has been built for CHP by house builders George Wimpey.
Residents will benefit from easy access to the popular Eastern Esplanade on Southend’s sea front and the railway station. All apartments have
allocated parking and a private balcony or terrace. Prices for New Build HomeBuy units start at £30,000 for a 25% share of the one bedroom
apartments and intermediate market rents start at £465 per month.
